This place is an old friend. Since I first found it, quietly sitting on the west side of Geldersekade, I've looked at no other. It is small, smoky, and utterly unchanged in all the years I've known it. It's been there for 35 years as of 2018, and if it's been painted inside in that time, I'm a Dutchman. I wouldn't have it any other way. The deal is simple - it offers cannabis and hot and cold drinks and a small selection of good quality, reasonably-priced headshop supplies. No wifi. No edibles. Nothing fancy. Just weed. Prices are reasonable, and the weed itself is good tight high quality bud. The operators - the same people all this time - are pleasant, happy to chat and give advice on anything from Blue Dream to where to buy lunch.

I have been visiting Het Gelderse for over 15 years. It's always my first stop after I get off the train at Central Station. The staff is very helpful and friendly (especially Irene) and I love the atmosphere......also, they have the best prices for the best weed in town!
